From the moment you walk into my office, you become my priority, and the object of my total love and dedication. I treat you the way I like to be treated, with compassion, kindness, integrity, honesty, and the utmost respect and professionalism.
I regularly volunteer to provide acupuncture to various charity organizations, such as women's homeless shelters, and Sunday Friends. I am a firm believer in the healing power of compassion and giving.
I am also the president of a nonprofit charity (501) (c) (3) organization called The objective of is to help economically and socially disadvantaged populations; in particular the homeless population with all the life basic needs, such as food, medicine, clothes, housing, etc.

Acupuncture treatment takes about 60 minutes.  During the treatment, extremely fine needles will be inserted into various body locations and left in place for about 30 minutes.

You can prepare for the treatment better by following these guidelines:

  1.  Make sure you do not come with empty stomach or too full of a stomach as you may become nauseous and dizzy.
  2.  Wear comfortable clothes that can be removed easily.
  3.  Alcohol, heavy physical exercise and sex are to be avoided for about 24 hours after the acupuncture treatment.

Herbal Medicine

You can get natural herbal remedies in tablet, powdered, or tinctured form carefully selected and customized to your specific needs.
The herbal prescriptions I prepare are specific to your unique symptoms and signs. There are many over-the-counter herbs and supplements which claim to treat many diseases but they are general remedies which address general symptoms, but may not necessarily give you the desired outcome. Furthermore the possibility of side effects will increase if one supplement is taken for a long time as it accumulates in the body and may interact with other prescription or non-prescription drugs/supplements you are taking. I carefully go ovr all your medications and supplements, and make sure there are no interactions between them.

Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine is an approach to care that puts the patient at the center and addresses the full range of physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental influences that affect a person’s health. Employing a personalized strategy that considers the patient’s unique conditions, needs and circumstances, it uses the most appropriate interventions from an array of scientific disciplines to heal illness and disease and help people regain and maintain optimum health.

My name is Helen and I have been dealing with irregular menstrual periods and poly-cystic ovarian syndrome for 10 years. The only solution my primary care physician and OB/GYN provider gave me was taking birth control pills to regulate my hormones and periods. I was on birth control for 2 years and did not like the side affects at all. After 2 years, I made a personal choice to stop the birth control and since my providers did not suggest any other forms of treatments, I was left to just deal with my condition.

Recently, my mother began acupuncture treatments for her arm with Dr. Bina and witnessed great results. Therefore, she referred me to Dr. Bina for a consultation. My first visit with Dr. Bina, she made me feel very hopeful, because she informed me that acupuncture would be a very effective treatment for my condition. I had my first session with Dr. Bina on February 2, 2017 and due to the cold/ flu season, I got sick the following day and was not able to see any change in my condition. My second session with Dr. Bina was the following week on February 24, 2017 and I was getting over my cold but still went in for my acupuncture treatment. When I mentioned to Dr. Bina that I was getting over my cold but still had a sore throat, she used that session to focus on my current issues. After the session, as I was driving home, I noticed that my sore throat was completely gone. After my second session, I also got my period (which I had not had for 10 months). Getting my period was such a shock to me and a revelation, that just only after 2 sessions of acupuncture, I am seeing a positive change in my condition.

I am very happy, because I feel like acupuncture is truly a healthy and effective treatment for me. I know that I have a long way to go to be fully cured, but I am hopeful. Through my acupuncture sessions with Dr. Bina, I honestly feel like I am on the right path in treating my condition and I cannot wait to see other positive changes.
